Winter session of Federal Parliament ends

Kathmandu, March 24 – The winter session of the Federal Parliament, started from December 26, 2018, ended today.
A total of 23 bills were registered at the House of Representatives during the period. Of them, eight bills are yet to be presented in the HoR.
In today’s meeting, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and leaders of various political parties addressed the Parliament.
On the occasion, Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara read out the letter sent by President Bidya Devi Bhandari relating to the end of the session.
Similarly, Chairperson of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, announced the end of the session after reading the letter received from the Office of the President to this end.
On the occasion, Chairperson Timilsina briefed the meeting that 12 different bills were passed in the session. The budget session of the parliament will commence soon.
