Nepathya to tour the nation

Kathmandu, 14th November-Nepal’s premier folk rock band Nepathya is set to embark on a 4 stop Nationwide tour during the last 2 weeks of November.

The tour will kick off on the 20th of November from Birtamode and will stop over in Dharan on 23rd, Butwal on 26th before concluding in Dhangadhi on the 29th of November.

The band has prepared a mixed set list from their first recorded song to the recent single release from their upcoming 10th album, covering the band’s 25 year musical journey.

“As we plan for a tour in Nepal, my mind travels back in time when we traveled across the country during conflict times. We used to travel surpassing all odds with the aim of spreading the message of peace.” Recalls Nepathya front man Amrit Gurung. “Our shows used to be organized during the day due to security reasons. It is good to know we are now able to perform during evenings.” He adds.

Nepathya concert in all cities this time will start at 5:45 in the evening and last for 2 hours. The venues in all 4 places will be local stadiums namely Domalal Rajbanshi Stadium in Birtamode, Dharan Stadium, Butwal Stadium (ANFA Technical Centre) and Dhangadi Stadium respectively.

“The fact that we are able to organize these open-air shows during evenings is an indication of the country getting back to normalcy.” Shared Kiran Krishna Shrestha of Nepalaya, the promoters of Nepathya and producers of the show.  “With an entourage of 65 members and 5 trucks transporting the equipment, we will put up a memorable show in all these places.” He added.

The tours is coordinated by nepa~laya and will be hosted and locally organized by various organizations. Sahara Nepal will host the show in Birtamode, while the Dharan show will be hosted by MC Coffee hour in association with Parikrama Students family of B.P.Koirala Institute of Health Sciences. The Butwal show will be locally organized by Yes Nepal and the final show in Dhangadhi will be hosted by Dataz events in association with The Mansion Nepal.

Ticket for the show is priced at Rs.1000 and a special block for ladies will be allocated in each place for safety of female attendees from the crowd.
