Officers continue appeal in search for missing Gurkha

London- Officers are growing increasingly concerned for missing man Hem Kumar Rai and are continuing to appeal to the public for help.

Hem Kumar, 51, was last seen in the Groby area on Friday 21 September.

He has never been missing before and his family and officers are extremely concerned for his welfare.

Officers are continually carrying out enquiries to help find Hem Kumar including checking CCTV and speaking to people in the area.

They are also continuing to appeal to anyone who has seen Hem Kumar, or knows of his whereabouts, to make contact.

Sergeant John Weston said: “We are extremely concerned for the welfare of Hem Kumar and are appealing to anyone who has any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to please make contact.”

Hem Kumar stays in Groby in the week and travels home to Nuneaton at the weekend.

He spoke to a relative on Monday 24 September but his family have been unable to contact him since and he failed to turn up to work.

Hem Kumar is Nepalese, around 5ft 5ins tall, of a heavy build and has short black hair.
