Nepal beat MCC by nine wickets

Kathmandu, July 29 – Nepal won the cricket match against the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) by nine wickets held today at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in the UK.
In the match played under the Triangular Twenty-20 series, Nepal had chosen fielding by winning the toss.
MCC made 40 runs by losing 4 wickets in 6 overs while Nepal achieved 41 runs losing one wicket in 4.4 overs. Nepal had the target of just 41 runs.
The match to be played in 20 overs was played in six overs owing to the rainfall. Subas Khakurel garnered 16 runs in 15 balls scoring two fours. Likewise, vice-captain Gyanendra Malla managed 12 runs including one six and one four. Similarly, Anil Kumar Saha contributed nine runs for the team’s victory.
Earlier MCC’s captain Mahela Jayawardene scored 24 runs while Sompal Kami from the Nepali team took two wickets.
