NAC’s wide-body aircraft makes test-flight

Kathmandu, July 23 – The newly acquired wide-body aircraft of the Nepal Airlines Corporation made a test-flight on Monday.
NAC Spokesperson Rabindra Shrestha shared that the wide-body aircraft made a test flight from Tribhuvan International Airport , Kathmandu, to Indira Gandhi International Airport, India.
The wide-body aircraft named ‘Annapurna’ arrived in Kathmandu on July 8. The test flight was carried out as per the requirement of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) to do so before a commercial flight.
The NAC has completed all processes required for the flight. Technicians and officials of NAC were in the flight today. The wide-body craft would make its maiden commercial flight on August 1.
Spokesperson Shrestha said that preparation was underway to make first commercial flight to Dubai.
The NAC is expected to receive its second wide-body aircraft on July 27.
