Govt will work with full speed: PM

Kathmandu, May 28 – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has pledged to work with full speed on part of the government from the day one of the new fiscal year.

In a video message today on his 100-day achievements and future plans, the PM said that the federal, province and local governments would work in a coordinated fashion from the beginning of the new fiscal year in order to translate the dream of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis’. “The government would not work just to gain popularity rather it would become popular by doing. Based on the experiences of the first 100 days, the nation would be pushed towards the journey of development and prosperity”, he said.

The PM has said that syndicate in the public transport system has ended, stern actions against gold smuggling have begun, actions against contractors holding the mega projects have been initiated and the fraud recruiting agencies’ operations in the foreign employment have been booked.

Survey of Kerung-Kathmandu-Lumbini and Kathmandu-Birgunj railway would be started soon while foundation stone of the 900 MW Arun III Hydropower Project was laid, tightening the foreign junkets of government officials, slash in public holidays, operation of Tribhuwan International Airport for 21 hours a day and closure of Biratnagar-based field office of Indian Embassy are some of the achievements mentioned by the PM in his message.

“I will ensure double per capita income in five years and will make a prosperous and happy Nepal,” the PM said.
