Kathmandu, March 26 – Major opposition Nepali Congress’ ongoing central working committee meeting has discussed the election observation report prepared by the EU delegation.
During the meeting today, central member Ramesh Lekhak demanded the party leadership to make public its official comment on the EU’s election observation report.
The EU delegation’s report on Nepal’s recent elections was made public recently. It has been receiving criticism for its negative comments on the constitutional provisions.
Talking to media persons following the meeting, NC Spokesperson Bishwo Prakash Sharma said the party would put forth its official view on the EU report after the completion of the meeting.
He expressed concern that some points in the EU report were beyond the jurisdiction.
The meeting today recorded the views from Govinda Bhattarai, Ramesh Lekhak, Dr Dila Sangraula and Laxmi Pariyar.
The party is to hold the CWC meeting again late this afternoon.
