Maoist Centre for accelerating unity process

Kathmandu, Jan 2 – The CPN (Maoist Centre) has decided to accelerate the process of its unity with the CPN-UML.
The party central office meeting held at Chairman Pushapa Kamal Dahal’s Khumaltar residence Tuesday underscored on making meaningful efforts for the unity with the UML.
Party Spokesperson Pampha Bhushal shared that the meeting dwelt on contemporary political situation, unity process and formation of new government. “As mandated by the people, the party is to quicken the unity process,” she said, adding that the discussion was prolonged due to UML Chairman Oli’s health problem.
The Spokesperson further argued, “There is no problem to delay the unity process. You’ll hear wonderful result soon.”
Even a taskforce has been formed under senior leader Ram Bahadur Thapa to manage the cadres with various fronts. The taskforce comprises leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, Matrika Yadav, Shakti Basnet, Lekhraj Bhatta, Sabitri Kumar Kafle, Devendra Poudel and Sunil Manandhar.
Similarly, a probe committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Amik Sherchan to study the intra-party betrayal during the recent elections. Members to the committee are Leelamani Pokhrel, Ganesh Saha, Hitraj Pande and Rekha Sharma.
Chairman Dahal informed the meeting that homework was on about party unity and government formation.
