Kathmandu, Dec 4 (RSS): Nepali Congress has condemned the bomb attack on party leader and former minister Gagan Kumar Thapa Monday.
Issuing a press release, Chief Secretary at NC central office, Krishna Prasad Poudel, said a bomb was hurled at the door-to-door election campaign of leader Thapa at Chapali of Budhanilakantha. The bomb was targeted at Thapa, an election candidate from constituency no 4 of Kathmandu.
“Such attack was perpetrated by the elements which became nervous over the sweeping wave in favour of NC and democracy,” he mentioned in the press note.
The party condemned the incident, saying it was intended to kill election candidate and cadres. The government is demanded to manhunt the attackers and bring them to book.
Along with leader Thapa, others as Dhruba Khadka, Jayaraj Lamichhane, Rajkaji Shrestha, Shyam Krishna Shrestha, Suman Khadka, Rabindra Karki, Pushpa Bahadur Shrestha, Radhika Karki, Kashi Lal Shrestha, Roshan Ram Thapa and Rima Basnet were also injured in the attack.
